The fraudulent concept of 'religion' is the compulsory demographic marker and labelling system imposed by the 'world order' on all communities/cultures of the world -- even though no community/culture found on Earth is known to have any concept bearing any resemblance to 'religion' or even a word in their language for 'religion' (when 'religion' is considered the way it manifests itself in the world, namely as a universally supremacist and ethnocidal force).
The 'world order' consists of about 195 'states' (countries) accounting for all of humanity. This 'world order' has primarily been shaped by Western colonialism/imperialism which itself was born of the Christian Church.
(In 1493, Pope Alexander VI, the leader of the Catholic Church issued a papal bull or decree, 'Inter Caetera,' in which he authorized Spain and Portugal to colonize the Americas and its Native peoples as subjects. The decree asserted the rights of Spain and Portugal to colonize, convert, and enslave. It also justified the enslavement of Africans. So it's the 'Church' that instigated European colonialism/imperialism whose present form is Western hegemony or neo-imperialism.)
No human being or community or culture has the choice of living outside the 'world order' of about 195 'states' -- implying that every one of us has been saddled with the fraudulent and coercive labelling system that 'religion' is.
Counting all communities and cultures of the world as representing one or the other 'religion' is a stunningly obvious act of fraud that every 'state' in this 'world order', including the Republic of India, has been committing on its people.
That's because each of these 'states' is either a legatee of a European colony like India or a 'state' that is indirectly shaped by European colonialism like China.
The pernicious concept of 'religion' has either been written into the laws of each of the 195 countries that make up the 'world' or has been imposed top down by the West that steers the 'world order'.
The Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), for instance, not only gives legitimacy to the corrupt concept of 'religion', but also requires all member 'states' of the United Nations to 'protect' the 'right to freedom of religion' of 'every one' of their citizens!
UDHR goes even further; it requires the 'states' to also protect everyone's 'freedom to change his religion or belief' -- an explicit sanction for the cultural devastation that the European imperialists have been wreaking on the world for the last 500 years through their proselytization and evangelization projects.
'Freedom of religion' has actually been a weapon of mass destruction in the hands of evangelists and imperialists of the Western Christendom.
So the 'state' does not have the choice of rejecting the ethnocidal concept of 'religion' unless those in charge of the 'state' decide to take on the enormous might of the Western imperialists and run the risk of being declared a 'rogue' state.
(A Chinese nationalist had once famously described the Christian missionaries as the cultural arm of Western imperialism.)
The bottom line is that the Western imperialists have -- over 500 years of European colonialism -- been quite successful in imposing upon the great variety of human cultures a grotesquely unnatural concept of 'religion'.
This imposition has had a massively devastating effect on all cultures of the world. Cultural diversity, cultural autonomy and cultural creativity have been shrinking frighteningly. Entire cultures are disappearing, only to be replaced by the totalitarianism, heteronomy and homogeneity of 'religion'. Entire world is being re-made in the hideous image of Western Christendom.
Remember a 'state' is a 'political community' or 'polity' -- instigating all 'politics' reported in the world.
So 'religion' is not only inherent in -- and inseparable from -- all 'politics' reported in the world, it's actually a demographic marker that has been made mandatory to citizenship of the entire human population of the world through the instrumentalities of the 'state', namely the laws, censuses, registration and identification systems, police and judiciary.
Regardless of whether the 'state' you live in is designated 'religious' or 'secular', every human inhabitant of the world and every community/culture of the world has come to be profiled by the ethnocidal system and taxonomy of 'religion' fabricated by the evil minds of Western imperialists.
(Located in the Western Christendom, Pew Research Center, for instance, regularly publishes'studies' categorizing the entire world population in terms of 'religious' affiliation -- so that whether or not you and I know what 'religion' you and I have Pew Research Center knows that!)
Which is why the whole idea of separating 'politics' from 'religion' is a load of childish nonsense.
The framework of all 'politics' is 'state' (i.e. 'political community' or 'polity') which in actuality is a child of 'religion', having been shaped by Church-instigated colonialism/imperialism.
'Secular state' is a meaningless concept because it's only through the 'state' (and the 'world order' consisting of the 195 'states') that the fraudulent system of 'religion' has been conjured up and imposed on peoples of the world.
When 'state' is the only enforcer of 'religion', how can it be 'secular' or indifferent to 'religion'?
Mind you the Church that instigated European colonialism -- i.e. the 'religion' itself -- was and continues to be a 'state' or a 'political' entity.
Isn't the Roman Catholic Church the oldest surviving monarchy of the world? (Even though it's so enormously evil that it could better be described as the world's oldest surviving and most pervasive crime syndicate!)
Wasn't Islam -- to take another entity that together with Christianity accounts for the ethnocidal fraud of 'religion' -- set up by Muhammad as a 'state' (also evil enough to be called a criminal gang of plunderers and rapists.)
'Religion' has always been a 'state' or 'political' entity.
And 'state' in this day and age is the only instrumentality of neo-imperialism through which the fraudulent and unnatural concept of 'religion' can be imposed worldwide on peoples/communities/cultures that have nothing whatsoever to do with 'religion'.
