یہ بچہ رحیم یار خان کا ہندو ہے، اسکول میں پڑھتا تھا۔ کہہ رہا ہے کہ میں نے منت مانگی تھی کہ اگر میری پہلی پوزیشن آئی تو میں مسلمان ہوجاؤں گا۔ اور آج یہ پچہ رحیم یار خان پنجاب سے، بھرچھونڈی شریف پہچا ہے۔

This is a Hindu schoolboy from Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab. He says he made a mannat (pledge to god) that he would become a Muslim if he topped his class.
Today he has travelled from Punjab to Bharchundi Sharif.
Even schools are no longer safe places for children who are made to feel that their beliefs are all wrong, that they have lesser of a faith, and that the Jannat (Paradise) belongs only and only to the Muslims.

Pakistani writer Jamshed Iqbal describes in an article in Urdu (whose Devanagari transcript can be read here) how a Maulvi and his cohorts psychologically manipulated Darpan, a bubbly Hindu young man in Punjab (Pakistan), into believing that he would never get any respect from the Muslim majority unless he converted to Islam, which he eventually did.
“Not mingling with non-Muslims and avoiding eating with them has a clear advantage: they would never feel respected unless, of course, they converted,” the Maulvi tells Jamshed Iqbal in a confidential tone.
Extending the “facility” of respect to the non-Muslims before they converted would not make them realize the “benefit” of becoming a Muslim, the Maulvi suggested.
